Running the REMOTE program

Getting Started.
If you have arrived to this section we are assuming that you managed to install
the I5DRV software and the Remote software. We are also assuming that you
have managed to set up the computer and the machine is responding correctly.
If not, go to the Setting up the isel Remote program tutorial.

Preparing a CNC program.
Now is the time to create a CNC part program using the native isel CNC language
Easymove. Using your editor "Notepad or DOS EDIT" Type in the program exactly
as shown below.
Save its a TEST.NCP to the Remote directory.

VEL 10000
FASTVEL 20000
PLANE XY
SPINDLE ON
MOVEABS Z3000
MOVEABS X0 Y0
MOVEABS Z-200
MOVEREL X50000
MOVEREL Y50000
MOVEREL X-50000
MOVEREL Y-50000
MOVEABS Z3000
SPINDLE OFF
PROGEND

This program engraves a simple 50mm x 50mm square.

If you purchased Isycam with your machine you can create your programs
automatically. You can download the Isycam tutorial from CV-Tech's
support section.

1. Loading your program
Before you can use the Remote program you need to turn the machine on and
go through the machine start up routine.

Access the File/Open function and open the TEST.NCP file.

Press F10 to access the top
 menu field.

The Remote file: C:\REMOTE\TEST.NCP field indicates we have loaded the
correct CNC program.

2. Verifying your program
Use the "Display current selected file" function from the File menu to graphically
simulate your program. This is a good way of testing your programs before running
them.

3. Setting up the machine zero point.
After executing the start up routine for your CNC machine you will note that the
Pos X, Pos Y and Pos Z machine positions are all zero "Bottom L/H side of the screen."
this is because during the initialisation process the machine physically moves onto the
limit switches and zero's the counting system.
In the TEST.NCP example the datum has been placed on the Bottom L/C corner of
the square. You will now set the zero on the machine so it corresponds to the zero
in the test program.
All you have to do is jog the machine to the new zero position and the software
will automatically record it.

a.  Select the Parameter / Set up machine positions..
b. Then select Teach material positions
c. For safety we will set the zero position approximately 50mm above the centre
of the table for an air cut. (A good way to practice)
Use the F1F3 and F6 keys to jog the machine off the limit switches and to the
    test zero position.
d. Once you have positioned the machine at the new datum position select O/K
and return to the main screen.
Note:
If you over travel or receive an error message return to the main screen and
you will find a number of useful recovery functions in the Options menu.

4. Running the TEST program.
a. Select File/Remote-File (*.NCP) output..
The machine will now execute a reference run.
b. The output screen will now appear.
Danger!!

You are about to run the machine and your program, be sure you know where
the Emergency Stop button is located.
c. Click on [   Automatic   ] if you are using a mouse or select the
Processing/Automatic menu function for keyboard users.

Conclusion:
Now is the time to investigate the many powerful features of the Remote program.
Good luck.
